Memristive Computing

In 1971 Leon Chua’s groundbreaking paper on Memristors was released. It describes a fundamental electrical component that changes it resistance according to the duration and amplitude of the voltage attached to it and keeps this state even after no external voltage is applied anymore. A practical implemenation of this theorized element was found in 2008 at HP Labs.

Our research group tries to improve current processor designs by incorporating memristive technologies as storage and logic elements.
